How to choose the right paint brush for the wall when decorating the new house?
In wall decoration, a suitable paint brush should be selected to ensure the quality of painting on the wall. When choosing a paint brush, you should first see whether the paint is easy to paint. If the paint is difficult to paint, you should choose a paint brush with good texture; For water-soluble paint and other paint types that are easier to brush, paint roller or ordinary brush can be used. Secondly, it depends on the surface area to be painted. If the area is large and complete, it is necessary to buy a 10 cm or 15 cm wide paint brush. If the total surface area to be painted is large but scattered, it is recommended to buy high-quality paint brushes with more bristles. Although this kind of brush is much more expensive than ordinary paintbrush, it can obviously shorten the overall working time because it dips more paint. The following describes the characteristics of various paintbrushes.
1. Paint roller: paint roller is suitable for large area painting, but generally only water-soluble paint can be applied. If the oil paint is applied, the drum will be difficult to clean or even can only be discarded.
2. Foam roller: if you don't care much about the final effect or the surface that needs painting is relatively smooth, it is a good choice to use cheap and light foam roller.
3. Mohair roller: The effect of this roller is fine, smooth and beautiful, but it is only applicable to very smooth surfaces.
4. Wool or nylon roller: If the painted surface is uneven or the texture is obvious, wool or nylon roller is more appropriate, especially for very rough surfaces. You must choose a tough nylon rough roller to avoid too much damage to the roller and causing a lot of waste.
5. Brush: If the painted surface is smooth and the paint is water-soluble, the brush can be used. Like the paint roller, it can quickly and easily complete the large area painting. Note: Many paint brush cleaners will corrode the joint part of the brush hair and plastic underlay, thus damaging the brush; If you choose a brush for places that are difficult to handle, such as the back of water pipes or radiators, it is recommended to choose the one with a longer handle but the smallest width for future use.
